Carry On / Texas Honor Log
Donation protected
Over 1.1 million Americans have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom we share.
Our mission is to “Carry On” their legacy and honor their sacrifice:
The first, (1 of 50) Honor Log is in it’s final stages of development. The Honor Log is a conceptual design initiated by three Marine Corps veterans out of Texas. The 1st Honor Log will be unveiled and carried during the 2018 Carry The Load march on Memorial Day weekend in Dallas Texas. The significance of the Texas Honor Log is as follows:
- 7 feet long representing the average length of a casket.
- 22 inches in diameter representing awareness of veteran suicides per day.
- 6 active duty or veteran personnel carrying the log representing pallbearers.
- Over 20,000 stars representing the sacrifice of fallen Texans since the civil war.
- Texas Flag engraved in the front end.
- American Flag ceremoniously folded engraved in the back end.
- A brass plaque with enscription honoring ALL who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
- Engravings of all service emblems.
It is our vision to create Honor Logs for each state that are carried across the country and featured in various events throughout the year. Our mission is to ensure our fallen warriors are never forgotten and their legacies CARRY ON.
We need YOUR help with the cost to develop the FIRST Honor Log (Texas / 1 of 50). From there we intend to expand the initiative across all 50 states so that EVERY will be Memorial Day!
