Carol's "bucket list"

Donation protected
February 22nd '17 Carol was rushed into hospital and our lives were suddenly turned upsidedown when she was diagnosed with primary lung cancer and secondary brain tumours.

Carol started receiving radiotherapy at Southampton hospital and we travelled there from Salisbury for 5 consecutive days for her to be "zapped" on her head and chest to reduce the size of the disease.

Carol was then given one cycle of chemotherapy,  but caught a nasty infection in her foot; cellulitis. This stopped her chemotherapy treatment - it was too risky to be giving her this, whilst her body was trying to fight a horrid infection. She needed surgery to remove the infection and a skin graft. Carol was in hospital for 5 weeks whilst her body could repair.

She was then re admitted in hospital two days after being discharged, with another under lying infection. She stayed in hospital for another week and during this time we were told that the disease has spread to her liver and spine.

Since then, she has been spending her time in the family home, but Carol has got progressively frail and now uses a wheelchair to get from A to B and also a walking aid when she's indoors. It was decided that chemotherapy would not be good for her and Carol has been told to enjoy the time she has got left with her family.

So, we were not going to stand by and accept that this is the beginning of the end ... instead, Carol has created a bucket list of things she would like to do to enjoy the rest of her life and we would love to ask you for donations in helping us to make these things possible!! Her wishes are;

1) A week stay in Weymouth, in a caravan.
2) Family meal (both sides of the family).
3) A night out with friends.
4) Go to the beach and have fish and chips.
5) Do Zumba.
6) See her daughter, Kelly and her partner, Tom get engaged (!? haha).
7) Have a pamper day.
8) Celebrate her 60th birthday.
9) Go shopping.
10) Go to the Mayflower to watch a show.

Our idea is to do something, one day over the weekend, every weekend, so it gives us all something to look forward to and having your kind donations will really REALLY mean a lot to us.

Much love,
The Adlam family x
