Carolina Sled Hockey

Carolina Sled Hockey is a part of the 501(c)(3), tax deductible, non-profit organization Triangle Special Hockey Association. The team is comprised of people of various ages with various disabilities, who love to play the sport of ice hockey and will not let their limitations stop them.

The Carolina Sled Hockey team is in need of your support for the upcoming 2014-15 season. Funding will help pay for travel to the NHL Sled Classic (Washington D.C.) and the USA Hockey Disabled Festival (Buffalo, NY).

Last year, the Carolina Sled Hockey Team played in USA Hockey's NHL Sled Classic, a tournament that is open for NHL affliliated sled hockey teams. With great honor, we represented the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes in that competition, ultimately finishing second after a loss in the C division championship game. In April we traveled to Marlboro, MA to compete in the Open C division at the 2014 USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival.

We thank you in advance for your support as donations from individuals such as you are what make our program possible. Our program is free of charge to all of our athletes as your donation helps us defer the high costs of competing, which is especially important for athletes with disabilities.We are currently the only sled hockey program in North Carolina,
