Queridos todos: Hace 9 semanas nuestro hermano Carlos fue sorprendido con el diagnóstico del síndrome Guillain-Barre e ingresado el mismo día a terapia intensiva con una parálisis muscular de todo su cuerpo que afecto inclusive su sistema respiratorio.
Desde el diagnóstico hasta la fecha, se le han hecho todos los tratamientos necesarios para combatirlo. Inmunoglobulina la primera semana, Plasmaferesis posteriormente, Esteroides, fisioterapias y terapias respiratorias, entre otros.
Agradecemos a todos por sus oraciones, solidaridad y el apoyo que nos han brindado, especialmente, en la difícil tarea que representa en Venezuela, conseguir medicamentos.
Cada día se hace más difícil cubrir los gastos y, aunque tenemos fe en que podrá recuperar al 100% su capacidad respiratoria para salir de terapia intensiva, sabemos también que requerirá de tiempo y tratamientos adicionales, por lo que deseamos en este punto solicitarles, cualquier ayuda que puedan darnos para continuar ofreciéndole la atención que el caso requiere.

Dear all: 9 weeks ago our rother Carlos was surprised with the diagnose of Guillain Barre Syndrome, since day 1 he was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit with a muscular paralysis of his entire body even compromising his respiratory system.
Since he was diagnosed until the date, several necesarry treatment have been practiced to fight the GBS. Inmunoglobuline the first week, plamapherisis, steroids, physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, among others.
We appreaciate all of your prayers, solidarity and the support given, specially in the tough part of finding medicines in Venezuela.
Everyday the expenses are harder to cover and alltough we have faith that he will be able to recover his respiratory capacity to a 100% in order to leave the ICU. We also know that he will require additional time and treatments, wich is why we like to ask in this point for any help you could give us in order to keep offering the attention that the case requires.
