My Name is Erica, and I'm a HERO in the making. As a Masters student at Pepperdine University (GSEP) who is obtaining an M.A. in Social Entrepreneurship & Change with the hopes of changing the face of under-served youth in my community, I have been charged with taking an international trip to complete my masters degree.
Armed with a passion for Youth & Leadership Development, and the belief that every person has a HERO at their core, I plan to travel to Cape Town, South Africa and volunteer with the under-served youth there. These youth have experienced everything from poverty to becoming orphans due to AIDS/HIV. My goal is to show these children that there are HEROES within them just waiting to burst forth! I also hope to give them the "capes" they need to realize this.
