March 4 Our Lives, Washington D.C.

Donation protected
Dear Friends and  Neighbors,

Students on Cape Cod are outraged too by the Parkland Shooting!  They are raising money to charter a bus to attend the March for our Lives on March 24th in Washington D.C.  Bus travel is expensive, especially if you are a high school student.  We want to support the students by enabling them to participate in this educational and activism experience.

The plan is for students to arrive in Washington D.C. by 8 AM; the March begins at noon, on Saturday 3/24.    During this trip, students will be provided with direction regarding the rally and will have continuous support from adults.  This March for our Lives is hosted by a national organization that strives to ensure the safety of all participants with law enforcement presence and check-in stations throughout the march.  In addition, students will be in contact with teachers who accompany them on the trip.

To charter a bus it will cost approximately $4500.00!  Charting a bus will hold about 50 students in addition to several teachers to accompany the students to the march.  Your financial support will make this possible.  Sponsor a student at $70.00 and underwrite a seat on the bus.  But any donation will help defray the cost for all students.  Please visit our GoFundMe with the link attached or mail a check to Cape Cod Student Activists ℅ Benten Niggel (P.O. Box 1949 N. Eastham MA 02651).

Thank you for your anticipated support for our students.

Sincerely,
Benten Niggel
A Student at Nauset Regional High School.

~Please see UPDATES for why we increased our target goal!~

***All funds will be spent on transportation/logistics to the March for Our Lives March on 3/24/18 in Washington D.C.  Additionally, monies will be spent on renting rooms for students to say in while visiting Washington D.C. for a night. Raised funds will offset costs (e.g. Bus Charter, etc.).  Withdrawl plans include transferring funds as needed into a specific bank account for this trip to pay for logistics of transportation to the March.   Thank you!

* Any money left over will either be maintained in the Cape Cod Student Activists Bank Account for future events, or money will be donated to March For Our Lives national organization.

By the way... here is some information about myself so you know this cause is legit and funds will be used appropriately! :)

My name is Benten Niggel and I am a Junior at Nauset Regional High School.  I am the President of Project Purple, Vice President of the Class of 2019, Vice President of Best Buddies, Treasurer of Student Council, an Executive Board Member of the Cape Cod High School Democrats, and am a member of NRHS Human Rights Academy, Math Team, and the Boys Varsity Tennis Team.  In addition, I am the chair of Cape Cod Student Activists and am planning both a Walk Out on 3/14/18 (with NRHS HRA), and a Safety In Our Schools rally on the Hyannis Green on 4/20/18.  I live in Eastham MA and have grown up in a family business (Willys Gym) since I was adopted at age 3.  This summer I am attending Harvard Secondary School and hopefully will be interning with the Attorney General of Massachusettes or a State Senator/Representative.
