Thank you for considering our GoFundMe campaign raising funds for our planned Cannabis Clinical Trials.
Even as Cannabis is being legalized for medicinal use in more and more states across the country (24 + DC at last count), the medical community still has not embraced its potential for treating a variety of medical conditions – from pain to cancer to brain trauma.
Without mainstream medical adoption of Cannabis as a recognized treatment, it may continue to be viewed a recreational drug, and patients who may benefit won’t have convenient access. To address this, we will conduct fresh, informed-consent clinical trials with medicinal-grade Cannabis to assess its efficacy towards those medical conditions, starting with Chronic Arthritic Pain – the #1 source of pain for the elderly.
This initial trail will test whether medicinal Cannabis can be a viable alternative to opioids for pain management, both providing relief to arthritis patients and helping combat our nation’s growing opioid addiction epidemic.
We seek $250,000 to conduct, analyze, and report on the results of a 6-month trial of the efficacy of Cannabis on Chronic Arthritic Pain.
Future trails will assess Cannabis' efficacy in the treatment of acute pain, cancer pain, cancer itself, epilepsy, brain trauma, anxiety, followed by other ailments.
