Daniel Lerma passed away very unexpectedly on October 13, 2016 at the age of 42. Daniel was a loving husband and soul mate of 16 years, to Michele and devoted and very proud father of two boys, Forrest and Jarod. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan as well as an Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Daniel had a heart as big as the moon and would do anything for anyone. He had many friends who loved him like a brother, as evidenced at the standing room only crowd at his funeral.
Daniel was a hardworking man who created his own successful business. However, Daniel, like so many of us, did not think he would die at a young age so did not yet have life insurance nor did he make plans for his business to continue after his death. Those were on his list of things to do “someday soon” as he and Michele made many plans for their future to grow old together.
While dealing with her immense grief, Michele is still working at her own job in order to survive, but she has lost her soul mate, her best friend and lover, and her breadwinner. She is unsure how she will make it on one salary to continue to pay for her house and car, phone bill or any of the many other expenses associated with daily living. Thus far, she has turned off her cable and eliminated many other “extras” in order to remain in her house. The house is where so many of her memories of Daniel reside; losing it would be just another devastating loss
If you knew Daniel or want to celebrate his memory and help Michele during this time of need, a donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated. We are hoping to raise enough money so she isn’t living in fear of losing her house and she can manage the rest of the bills on her own. Anything above and beyond that will be put into an account for college and emergency expenses.
Michele has lost so much; if you can find it in your heart to help assure her she will not lose any more, it would be greatly appreciated.
