Thank you to all our friends and family who have been there for us through this. Your prayers and support have been very appreciated and humbling, we are truly blessed!
Christian has been back home for a month now. He's going to school part time. Though he takes a few breaks, he is doing great and able to participate in his classes.
He still goes to Speech, Occupational and physical therapies a few times a month to rebuild the neuro pathways that were damaged with his bleed in March. He improves with every visit and smiles through each challenge.
We are looking to schedule a procdure this summer to remove/kill the cavernoma in his brain to prevent future bleeds, This will probably be done in San Diego, though we're still working with doctors to get all the information on our options.

On Saturday evening March 10th , Christian Savoca fell while riding his scooter and was having seizure like symptoms. The doctors discovered a brain bleed deep in his frontal lobe. This was likely the cause for the fall. They believe that a net of arterioles called a cavernoma were the cause of his brain bleed. Christian has paralysis on the right side of his body that continues to show improvement through therapy. He will continue OT, PT and Speech Therapy. It will be 6-8 weeks before an MRI can be completed to confirm their diagnosis and determine the best course of action. There is a high probability that Christian’s continued care will take them out of state for treatment. It will be a long road, full of a continuing buildup of medical expenses, travel and missed work.
