CPAA Dancers Go For Gold In Germany

Donation protected
The IDO World Tap Dance Championships are the "Olympics of Tap Dance".  The USA Tap Team is composed of elite tap dancers from around the country, ages 7-18.  Being a part of the United States Tap Team to represent our country is an honor, a privilege and usually just a dream for most dancers.  Well, those dreams have come true for seven local students from The Cheshire Performing Arts Academy.  Katie Baroli, Madisyn Bernier, Ali DePaolo, Trinity Leite, Maddie Radasch, Chloe Stults and Rory Stults have been invited to the USA Tap Team where they will compete for GOLD in Riesa, Germany this November.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we cannot let our girls pass it up.  As you can imagine, expenses are high and the girls will be working all summer to help raise money to fulfill their dreams. We would greatly appreciate any donation to help them proudly represent the USA!

A special shout out and many thanks to Miss Erin, Miss Brittany and Miss Jess for teaching, supporting and encouraging these girls to try out for the team and giving them what they need to succeed.  These girls are ready to do whatever it takes to make it to Riesa, Germany.  They are hardworking, determined and ready to bring home GOLD!

Meet The Dancers:
Katie Baroli
Hi, my name is Katie and I am a 15 year old rising sophomore at Cheshire High School.  I've loved tap since I started dancing at the age of 5.  I mean, what kid doesn't love making noise with their feet?  With years of training and support from my dance teachers, I've learned and performed many great solo, duo and group tap dances for recitals and dance competitions.  Now, with a very talented team of tap dancers, I have the ultimate opportunity to represent the USA at the World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany - the "Olympics of Tap Dance".  I couldn't be more honored, proud and excited!  Thank you for your support of me and my team as we go for the Gold!

Madisyn Bernier
Hi!  My name is Madisyn and I'm 10 years old.  I go to Saint Bridget School and I'm entering 6th grade.  I've been dancing since I was 2-1/2 and my favorite style of dance has always been tap.  My feet never stop moving.  Even in class, my teachers tell me to stop moving my feet under my desk.  I am so excited to be going to Germany as a part of the United States Tap Team. I am most excited to be able to perform with my best friend, teammates and all the new friends I have made along the way.  I am honored to be a part of this once in a lifetime opportunity where I get to represent our country doing what I love.  Thank you for your support.  We hope to make America proud!

Ali DePaolo
Hello! My name is Ali, and I will be starting my junior year in high school this fall.  As a long time dancer and musician, I have fallen in love with the rhythmic and dynamic aspects of tap dance, and am very excited to be bringing that together at the World Tap Championships! This experience has not only helped me improve on my technique, but also given me the opportunnity to work with new choreographers and team members. I am so honored to be able to represent my country doing something I love, and I am grateful for your support! Go Red, White and Blue!

Trinity Leite
Hi!  My name is Trinity.  I am 14 years old and about to start my freshman year at Sacred Heart Academy.  When my teacher told us about her experience at the World Tap Championships in Germany and winning the gold medal at the "Olympics of Tap", I could only dream of having that same opportunity one day.  Well that dream became a reality this year when our studio was invited to be a part of the 2017 USA Tap Team.  I am excited and honored for this once in a lifetime chance to represent the USA as we go for the GOLD in Germany this November.  Go USA! Thank you for your support!

Maddie Radasch
Hello everyone, I am Maddie and a senior at Cheshire High School.  Dance has been an amazing and important part of my life since I can remember and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate my final year at my studio than by participating in the World Tap Dance Championships.  Dancing along my friends for my country is the perfect way to start the new chapter of my life as I prepare for college.

Chloe Stults
Hello, my name is Chloe and I am going into my sophomore year at Cheshire High School. I have been fortunate this past year to share my passion for dance and music helping various organizations and charities. Making the United States Tap Team has required much hard work, determination, and practice, and it has been an honor to share this experience with my friends and teammates. While competing in Germany, I am most looking forward to meeting dancers from all around the world and sharing our cultures. Thank you for helping us achieve our goal!

Rory Stults
Hi everyone, my name is Rory and I am officially a sixth grader! Tap is my favorite style of dance because I love telling a story with my feet. It feels like a dream to be a part of the United States Tap Team. I can't wait to share the stage with my best friend, my new teammates, and my older sister. Preparing our dances is a lot of hard work, but being with my dance family makes it all worth it! I hope to make our country proud! Thank you for supporting us!
