Help Baby Brynnli Get Brain Surgery
Donation protected
Baby Brynnli has had a rough start to life. She was born 2 months early by emergency C-section in July 2017. Her mother, Shawnna, developed pre-eclampsia with dangerously high blood pressure so intervention for mom and baby’s sake was necessary. Weighing only 3.5 pounds at birth, Brynnli remained in the hospital for about 3 weeks until she reached 5 lbs and was finally able to come home. Since then she has been developing well and has become a very happy, delightful little girl. However, the doctors recently discovered that Brynnli has a condition called Craniosynostosis: an abnormally early fusion of the bones in her skull. Normally these do not fuse until a few years of age. Without surgical intervention, she would become brain damaged and die because the fused skull would suffocate her growing brain. Therefore she is scheduled to have surgery in just a few weeks at CHOP. If all goes well she will have to stay at CHOP for a week after surgery and then return home wearing a helmet for an undetermined period of time. This will be a very trying time for her parents with lots of uncertainty. We want to raise this money to help Brynnli and her parents during this difficult time and to support them through her extensive recovery. We would be most grateful for anyone willing to pitch in.
