Britain's Memorial Garden

Britain's Memorial Garden Fund

Three weeks after celebrating our son Britain's, second birthday, he was diagnosed with stage IV Hepatoblastoma Liver cancer- a one in a million cancer that affects only .9% of infants. The advanced stage of the cancer called for aggressive chemotherapy and a painful decision for us. After enduring only three-fourths of his first round of chemotherapy, Britain suffered acute heart failure. It came as a complete shock to not only us, but also his doctors, as they had never experienced such dramatic outcomes with so little chemo administered. Though his heart made a miraculous recovery, it took months for Britain to return to his previous strength.

We couldn't bear the thought of sending Britain into the same life-threatening predicament, so we resorted to alternative holistic treatments. From research we'd done and doctors we spoke to, we learned that the body was able to heal itself when supplied with the right nutrients and addressing the cause of disease. For Britain, this included organic green juices, customized supplements, a ketogenic, organic diet, and specialized therapies. He made a wonderful recovery and his quality of life returned! There was a significant decrease in the size of the tumor, and we were hopeful.

Unfortunately, after only days of receiving encouraging results from a blood test, we were rushed to the ER. Britain went to be with Jesus only hours after our arrival due to unconfirmed complications to a treatment he was undergoing. It was a shock and devastation to our family. We hoped to spend many decades with him.

As his parents, we have always envisioned him growing up in our family orchard and farm- helping us prune and harvest the beautiful plants that helped to heal him. We want to honor that dream by planting the first seeds and trees that will grow in his memory and help feed a community in dire need of food grown from love.

All contributions made here will be used to build Britain's Memorial Garden. This will include purchasing an acre of land and developing it for agricultural use in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Purchasing all the necessary equipment, seeds, and trees needed for Britain's Memorial Garden. Creating and installing a small monument in honor of Britain's life.

We thank you for your generous contributions to remember our Great Britain.
