Bring Mary Home!

Donation protected
It is with a bit of humiliation that I write this plea for help, and if you can help me that would be ever so awesome!  I have nothing to give in return except my immense gratitude, and maybe a story or two...  Originally I wanted to BORROW the money because with my pride, I would obviously want to pay back every penny!  But alas, with my present financial situation, I don't know how that will ever be possible, so more than likely would be a "donation".  UGH..

Here goes!  Everyone knows that I left my state to come to Oregon..  And everyone also knows I have a sweet case of MS for which I am recieving the best medical care in the Northwest at OHSU.  I mention this not for pity or anything, but to say that probably I should stay here.  SImply because medically and physically it's better for me, but I miss my Alaska and all my pals, and I just want to come home..

Although I am on the strongest MS drug available, I have 2 new lesions - one in my neck and one somewhere on the T-spine.  The neck one is causing me lots of new problems, but with rest I can usually calm them down.  My doctor is troubled that she hasn't been able to arrest the progression with Tysabri, but for me, I think it has been a miracle!  Once back home, I will be able to continue the infusions...

The heat here really bothers my affliction, but at the same time, it's nice to be able to walk my pups without worrying that I am going to far etc.  I have struggled with this decision for quite awhile now, and am relieved that I have finally made it.

Although Oregon is so beautiful, and I have made a few friends,  I just really don't feel at home here.   I constantly pine away for mountains, seagulls, tiny blueberry bushes, the Russian and Anchor Rivers, the smell of fish smokers in the neighborhoods, a million other things and of course 30 years of friends!  You can take the girl out of Alaska, but not Alaska out of the girl..  :)

If you can help me that would be great.  The money will be used to get up there and help get me on my feet.

That's pretty much it, I just want to come home!

ps..  Of course there is no pressure here.  I was just thinking instead of bringing Fritos to a hairdo appointment, just throw it in the pot!  If I raise enough to come home, my plan is to arrive the first of August...

XOXO Mary
