Hello everyone!

We are starting a crowdfunding campaign to raise money to make a feature length film, while also arming us with the tools necessary to truly support our own small indigenous filmmaking production crew. We all have day jobs, which unfortunately doesn't allow us the capital, or time necessary to buy or rent the equipment required for a project of this scale. We’ve always had that drive and artistic vision to make a feature length film, yet for the longest time it felt out of reach. However with the advent of crowdfunding and the friends and family we’ve made through making films for our indigenous community we finally feel our dream may be within reach. We humbly ask all of you to help us make our dreams as film lovers and filmmakers a reality!

We are Bony War Pony Productions, a group of Indigenous filmmakers based out of Gallup, New Mexico that, from a very young age developed a love for all things filmmaking. Although we did not follow the traditional path of filmmaking, going to filmmaking school or arts school, our love for film has always remained. We started making films as children, using a RCA VHS camcorder; our summers were spent running around with extension cords, lights, costumes and bag full of blank VHS tapes. Our love and respect for cinema has only grown since those early days and has manifested into Bony War Pony Productions. Currently, the presentation of our work is limited to Facebook and Youtube (with over 6,000 supporters whom enjoy our work), but we would like nothing more than to have the opportunity to create a feature film worthy of the silver screen.

 Working Title:

"Navajo Nation Skinwalker Hunting Association Rapid Response Team"

The feature film will follow the character of Harris, a young man dedicated to serving his community. He serves his people in the form of creating a small organization of young volunteers to battle the supernatural evils that plague his neighborhood.

Our goal is to raise the money by May 2018. If we raise the money we plan on starting pre-production as soon as possible so that we can start the filming process during the Summer of 2018, and hopefully wrapping post production and publishing the film by the fall or winter of this year!

Budget

**Note: we are asking for $15,450 while our budget is $15,000 because there is potentially a 3% withdrawal fee for taking out money. The extra $450 is to account for that.**

The budget we are basing all of our purchases around is $15,000, which should include all of the equipment necessary to be self-sufficient filmmakers. This includes the main filming gear as well as video editing Hardware to accompany the filming equipment. If we reach our goal of $15,000, this should help enable us to make films for years to come! Below is a list of all the equipment we are looking to purchase in order to make the film. The most expensive item on the budget is the anamorphic Cinema lens. “Why?” you may ask, because we all loved film growing up and one of the Hallmarks of oldschool film is the anamorphic look, which is characterized by a wide field of view, lens flares, and oval bokeh. So considering that it is naturally our first choice when looking at lenses for our film! While It may seem expensive regarding our budget the lenses we are looking to purchase are actually super affordable considering most real anamorphic lenses range anywhere from $20,000 to $50,000 many even run more than $50,000.

We also want to purchase the best camera in our price range which will enable us to film in 4k, 10-bit 4:2:2, what those numbers mean is that this camera will allow us to record in super high quality with tons of color information, providing for some of the best images possible!        What that also means is we need a computer to accompany our camera powerful enough to handle the footage we are recording for the film. Rather than purchasing a prebuilt computer, which are normally marked up in price, we want to order all the parts and build it to make it the most cost-effective for our budget. On top of that we need a computer screen that can handle colors accurate enough for our camera, and a tool that can calibrate the screen to make it as accurate as possible in the color spectrum.

Above all else, we promise to make the most out of every single dollar that you provide us, whether that be $0.01 or $100,000! Finally, we'd like to thank everyone for taking the time to check out our project whether or not you donated we appreciate every single one of you, we love you, and we thank you!!!

**STRETCH GOALS!**

One of our stretch goals is $21,000 with that amount of money it would allow us to purchase the other two lenses in the anamorphic lens set. Whereas right now we are planning on filming the entirety of our film with only one lens, lots of hard work, and tons of creativity on making that lens work for all of the applications necessary.

Our second stretch goal is $25,000 with that amount of money we should be able to enter our film into various film festivals, as most film festivals require payment before they accept any films into their festival. As well as the potential to get way better, upgraded sound equipment, and other upgraded equipment in general! And maybe rent out some local movie theaters to screen our film to the public in the Navajo Nation and surrounding areas!

If we make anything beyond $25,000 that gives us the ability to get all the props necessary as well as clothing and location-based shoots, as well as potentially hiring local actors and musicians. Or purchasing music for  our film online. It'll give us the possibility to upgrade all of our equipment to the best possible choice for our film! Along with our dream being guaranteed to come true! we promise you that we will keep you updated with the money that we spend, that you all have graciously provided us.
