Team Blue Steel is a wrestling club affiliated with AAU Wrestling and USA Wrestling serving the west Dade and Kendall community. It has produced 12 state champions, over 40 state placers, and over 100 state qualifiers since 1991. More importantly, it has produced hundreds of alumni that are successfully spread over a variety of industries and sectors in the community, some of which include teachers, nurses, lawyers, military, engineers, entrepreneurs among many other wonderful careers and professions.
Part of continuing the tradition of excellence for the program is our off season schedule. We are trying to raise funds for the following events:
1. Florida USA Wrestling National Qualifier in Freestyle/Greco-Roman in Kissimmee, FL.
2. Florida USA Wrestling Freestyle/Greco-Roman State Championships in Kissimmee, FL.
3. Granby Wrestling Camp in Hampden-Syndey, VA.
4. AAU Scholastic Dual National Championships in Kissimmee, FL.
The program is currently supporting over 20 wrestlers ranging from middle school to high school.
Estimated total costs to make these items possible exceed $6500, but we are trying to reach this amount to reduce the out-pocket-expenses of our wrestlers and their families especially for those in need. These trips can be too heavy a burden for many families, and we do not want this to be a reason for their child to miss out on valuable experiences.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated. With your support, we can continue to develop these young wrestlers by granting them great opportunities to realize their potential. We hope you can help be an important part of it.
