Hello, my name is Kristin Brown, and I will be studying abroad this Fall of 2014 in Bilbao, Spain. I currently attend California State University, Chico, and I will be studying abroad in conjunction with my expected graduation requirements.
I am a Business Administration major with an option in Marketing, and I am about halfway through my Spanish minor.
The chance to study abroad is once in a lifetime, and I am extremely fortunate to even be able to consider it in my near future. I will be living with a host family, and learning as much about the Basque and Spanish cultures as possible. Essentially, I am ready to open my eyes to the world.
All good things come with a hefty price tag, however, and I am looking for any external funding that I can possibly receive. My family is exremely supportive of all of mine and my sister's ambitions, so much so that they make significant sacrifices each and every year. Any amount of support, both monetary or moral, would be very helpful and not taken without a high amount of appreciation.
While abroad, I hope to let no opportunity go to waste. Carpe Diem. I'm very much hoping to give back to a community that appears to be so welcoming to visitors, and be able to return to the U.S. with a greater appreciation for the world and all that it has to offer.
