Maker's Learn-to-Solder project

Lakeshore Makers is a group of like-minded individuals that are excited about the Maker Movement , and would like to bring its benefits to Holland Michigan. We wish to bring the experience of Mentoring, Learning and Making to our community in Holland, Michigan.
We need to fund our first project that we call The Big Red Project. This is a simple learn to solder project, that we hope to produce as our first maker's kit, suitable for use in any learning and making environment.
The kit will include a custom printed circuit board in the shape of Holland's famous Big Red Lighthouse and electronics that students will solder to make Big Red light up!
We hope to produce our the Big Red Project in time for Tulip Time's Kinderplaats event , where we plan to run the program, teaching kids a bit about electronics and how to solder.
We need funds to produce the Big Red circuit boards and gather various components and printed materials. Funds raised will go toward creating our Big Red Project as well as printed materials to promote Lakeshore Makers.
