Ben's Journey with Autism

You may or may not know that my son Ben has autism. Over the past 5 years I have tried many different therapies; however, the Son-Rise Program^® is having high levels of success bringing children through their state of autism. The Son-Rise Program^® at the Autism Treatment Center of Americaâ„¢ is located in Massachusetts (for more information see their website: www.autismtreatment.com). My hope for Ben is to overcome his limitations and to be able to communicate and have greater social freedom; seeing Ben having rich relationships is my dream and goal.

We plan to travel to the Autism Treatment Center of America in July for one week of focused and intensive 1:1 training. Through this training I will be able to work more effectively with Ben over the next several years to help him through his autism, plus I will be better equipped in training the people working with him.

In order for us to attend this training session, we must come up with $15,000 for the training and expense of travel. If I don't reach the target, all funds raised will be used towards alternative treatment options for Ben. Of course, I will personally carry as much of this as I can, but as a single parent "” I need some help.

This is a difficult letter to write and ask for help, but I want to look back and say
I have tried everything possible to help Ben to have a secure future. My intention for the next few months is to do as much fundraising as I can to achieve this dream. I am grateful for any support you can offer.
