Bennett Belles Do It Well! College Fund

My name is Deja Monet Willis, a resident of the District of Columbia.  In 2013 I gradutated fifth in my class from Spingarn Senior High School. My goal is to graduate within the top five of my college class, as well.  I am currently a rising sophomore social work major at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. I understand firsthand that college can be expensive, but I also know that the experience, exposure and education you receive is invaluable.  

During my first year I faced some financial and personal obstacles; I was able to overcome everything I faced and it has now become a testimony to motivate and encourage someone else. I am more focused than ever to succeed in college. In addition, not having a balance to repay the institution lifts a burden off not only my parents, but my own shoulders as well.  I know the importance of education and expect nothing but the best for myself.
