It is with great sadness that I regret to inform that Bean Dunlap passed in the early morning of May 4th. Now, more than ever, Kevin and Nate and their family need our love and support during this difficult time. Bean's Battle Beef and Beer will go on as planned as a celebration of her life. Bean's story: In June of 2012, Regina (Bean) Dunlap was diagnosed with breast cancer. She courageously fought it and in February of the following year, it was undetectable. Later in 2013, Bean began having some discomfort in her hip and physical therapy didn't seem to be helping. After consulting with her doctor, she had some tests to try to find the issue. Unfortunately, on March 4, 2014, it was discovered that the cancer had returned, was aggressive and spreading quickly.
Bean Dunlap has been with The Little Peoples College for 20 years and in that time has had a huge impact on the lives of so many children. In addition to the many families that Bean has become a part of through her work, her husband Kevin, 8 year old son Nathan, and her family and friends are fighting this battle with her. Kevin has been in law enforcement for over 18 years, first as a Justice of the Peace Court Constable and now as a Delaware Probation and Parole Officer and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 10 member. Most of his time and energy are now focused on Bean and Nate and taking care of his family. Bean has been unable to work due to her illness and Kevin has had to turn down all overtime opportunities and has not been able to deliver subpoenas for extra income.

There will be a wonderful buffet, beer and soda included, cash bar for mixed drinks, along with silent auctions and drawings. Live entertainment will be provided by LA PRODUCTIONS who promise a great show and dance party. All proceeds benefit Bean's Battle.
Tickets are $30 per person, $50 per couple in advance and can be purchased by donating on this site. Please include in your comments how many tickets you'd like and your name will be on our guest list at the door.
If you'd like to purchase with cash in advance, please send us a message using the above "CONTACT" button and arrangements can be made.
Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $35. Cash or credit accepted.
If you are unable to attend, we are gladly accepting donations on this site or checks may be made out to Bean's Battle Fund and deposited at any Wells Fargo location.
