Funding for Bean Bag's emergency

Hello everyone, as many of you know my partner Allison and I took a baby kitten into our lives nine months ago. He was only six weeks old at the time and full of spunk, so we appropriately named him Bean Bag. He's been a bundle of affection and joy ever since! Out of the blue several days ago he began vomiting and stopped eating. We have been in and out of the vet numerous times since.
He has some sort of abdominal blockage that is prohibiting him from keeping any food or water down. X-rays are currently inconclusive and blood work is being done. He is currently being hydrated and held for observation at the animal hospital with the hope that whatever is blocking his GI tract will become lubricated enough to pass naturally.
If this doesn't happen he will require some expensive exploratory surgery. We would like to do everything in our power to help this little guy make a full recovery as he has always been so full of life. We are looking to all of you out there who have been in a similar situation for help in covering the cost of getting little Bean Bag back to his normal healthy self. This is a time sensitive concern and the sooner we are able to get a handle on the financial possibilities, the better chance he'll have of a healthy recovery. Large costs we are looking at covering include hospitalization, additional exams, x-rays, blood work and the biggest one which we're hoping to avoid, surgery. We are fronting a majority of the expenses and are only asking for help with covering costs beyond our current means.
It is hard putting a price tag on the life of your beloved companion. It has been really difficult to watch a perfectly healthy and active kitten decline into a state of complete lethargy over a matter of days. My partner and I are trying to do all we can, and we really appreciate any help and support you can give - be it financial or sharing this with other pet lovers in your life to spread the word about little Bean Boy!
