Mission Trip

Walking by faith in 2013, we left New Jersey:  a place of familiarity, in pursuit of God’s greater plan for our lives. Naturally, it was an extremely difficult decision because we had everything we needed;  family, friends, employment, and our ministry roots.  Leaving meant starting all over again!  However, in the spirit it was something we could not resist.  We were now headed into an unknown area with one word from God…"Go”.

About a year after we moved, God’s plan for our lives began to sprout.  The Bible says in I Corinthians 16:9a NKJV, “For a great and effective door has opened to me…”  We have now been afforded the opportunity to take an even greater leap of faith and establish the Kingdom in South Africa with LCM and the Matthew Russell Foundation.  In this Kairos moment, our education, ministry gifts, and passion have collided with purpose to fulfill the great commission to GO.

As a part of this life changing assignment, in May of 2015, we will be given the opportunity to teach the word of God while holding tent crusades each night for adults, youth and children. Not to mention, during the day, we will be praying for the sick in their homes, visiting children at local schools, working in the community greenhouse, encouraging the local pastors with daily workshops, and helping the Matthew Russell Foundation (http://mattrussell.org/)  place a library/media center in one of the low-resourced “government run” schools.

Life Connection Ministries (www.lcm-ga.com) will replenish the existing greenhouse with seedling plants for the local community.  Their goal is to provide food and vegetables free of charge to the starving children and adults in the area.  During the day they provide fresh bread to every home visited, and during the tent crusades they are giving away items like food parcels, clothing, toys and candy for kids which will vary per night. The goal is to bring hope, demonstrate Christ’s love, and provide basic needs into this impoverished area.

We are asking all contributions to be submitted by March 2015.  All donations are tax deductable.  Below is a link showing a short video about the work that is being done in the rural villages of South Africa:
