Funeral of Bao Hang Yang Donations

Greetings My Friends and Family,

My name is Tony Hang from Lino Lakes, Minnesota. This site was created in hopes that you would learn to love and help my amazing mother grant her last wishes.
Bao Hang, born on June 8th, 1970, mother of four beautiful children and married 29 years to Pastor Chongtoua Xengsue Yang.
If I was to express in words about who this lady is, the word would be passion. Her life has been dedicated to helping those in need through her loving words of encouragement, her food, her laughter and her joy. I would have to say that cooking was her gateway to expressing her love to others by the wonderful crafts and amazing dishes. Her energy was breath taking, pouring out her soul for the love of people and friends. Her voice is so distinctive as she sings her heart out at church leading the women's ministry and music choir. My mother is no ordinary mother! Anyone that knows her will know that she is a working machine; working to please and working to help those in need financially and physically.

My mother spent the last ten years of her life working as a Medical Assembler. Having a decent job and owning small family home, life was going pretty well up until three years ago; she started to have pain on her neck area during work and caused her to come home early multiple times. Of course at the time we all thought this was caused of overworking and that she needed rest. This was the start of her never-ending journey.

Little did she know, this little neck pain that she had grew more intense throughout the weeks to the point where she couldn't even work for more then three to four hours. Scan after scan, doctors after clinics, she was tossed and turned to many facilities with no answers to why this pain existed. Going from a fully active mom to a non-functional mom; sorrow cried from her soul. It hurts me so much to see her cry in tears from the pain that she bares. Knowing that I can't help her or provide anything to help relieve her pain makes me sadden.

Going to the clinic was like taking a trip to a drug store. The Doctors prescribed everything under the sun, as her medication cabinet grew in numbers it got to the point where she had to literally take a pill hourly.

She was let go from her job of 10 years. Bao was forced to be terminated by the Company because she couldn't show up to work to perform and have medical proof of her sickness. Her one and only income source became the laughing stock against her within minutes.

All of this was only a teaser of what was to come.

Thanksgiving of 2012, Bao was rushed to the Emergency Room. She was complaining about sharp stomach pains, and surely it was bad. Her skin color turned from normal to pale white, and tears in her eyes from baring the pain. After being in the hospital for a short period of time, she was sent home with only pain medication. A week later, we were back into the Emergency Room for same issue; stomach pain she complains. This time Saint John Hospital took the inspection further to find the cause of this repeating issue.

After the scans and examinations, it was found that she had an infection the size of a quarter in the center of her liver. She was given a drain tube to remove liquids, and to help relieve the swelling at her liver. Drugged by countless medication, she was sent home again with a surprising fever of 101; but was told it was okay to be released.

Two days later, we are back in, for an even higher fever and sharper pain. Saint Johns reinstalled the drain tube, and this time was able to take a sample of the fluid to inspect and send to the labs for further inspection. Labs came in positive for Cancer.

The story repeats again and again. My family has been in and out of the hospital for the past three months, celebrating the following Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Valentines in the small hospital room.

Finally February 13th, 2013, she was sent to Mayo Clinic in Rochester. On Valentines Day she was finally diagnosed with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Cancer. The liver specialist was in shock by the rapid growth of the tumor. Since this cancer in her liver was caused by a spread; he still couldn't tell us where this cancer originated from. In his own words, "If I was to tell you guys that she has one to two years to live, I would be lying to you. At most she has six to eight months to live."

Being her oldest son, I would love to provide and do all that I can to give her the happiest life one can ever have. Being that she is so young, and with three other kids that have yet to step into adulthood, I pray for a healing miracle. However, God has his own plans. It hurts to know that I can't help because of my financial difficulties.

My father is working full time to provide for a family of 5, and being a full time pastor, revenue is so limited. If you can, your donation would be of great use. I believe that through Love, anything can be possible. Even one dollar would be a blessing and help to my family while going through this dark time. Your words, encouragement and donations will be of great honor to my family. This funding will be used to help her through medical needs, help provide food and shelter for her family. Through this I hope to see her smile again. A smile with a little less to worry about, but to enjoy her time as a mother here with me.
