Bangladesh Flood Victim Relief

I am trying to raise $5,000 to help victims of severe flooding in Bangladesh.  During the past month of the rainy season, massive flooding across South Asia has killed several thousand and displaced many. In Bangladesh alone, nearly 1/3 of the entire country was flooded, with millions displaced or at risk. 

These funds will be used to purchase basic provisions as listed below and distributed to needy familes in the flooded northern parts of Bangladesh.

Purchasing and distribution will be done by the Bangladesh Assemblies of God local board and NGO partners.  The aid will go to all, Muslim and Hindu alike, with no religious strings attached. I will personally work with the local NGO to ensure this. 

Here is a breakdown of what is planned for each family:

10 kilograms of rice
5 kilograms of dal
2 liters of cooking oil
10 liters of filtered/bottled water
30 oral saline packets 
30 Paracetamol tablets 
2 bars of disinfectant soap
1 mosquito net

The total price for these provisions will be about 1,900 Bangladesh Taka. This is roughly $23 per family for these provisions. 

The work will be closely monitored & supervised by the Bangladesh Assemblies of God Executive Board and distributed by the District Executive Board with the help of local people and administration. Goods will be distributed to affected people no matter their religion, cast or sect.
