Baby Maya Carrillo - Fight Leukemia Fund

Maya Carrillo (9 months old) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia (ALL) on February 4, 2011. (ALL) is curable and Maya is under the care of amazing oncologists and nurses at Miami Children\'s Hospital. This has been very sad news for our family and although we appreciate our privacy, we felt that it was our duty to raise awareness that there are beautiful young children and families that go through this every day. We never thought that something like this could ever happen to such an innocent gorgeous child or to someone so close to us for that matter but alas we are living a very real nightmare. And although this all still seems so surreal it is very very real.She is in for a long fight but Maya is a fighter and so is everyone that loves her. We wil fight forever to make her well. With all the love, prayer and faith in God we know that she will beat this terrible disease. We are so blessed to have everyone\'s good wishes and support on our side.  We have no doubts in my mind that our family and Maya will beat this!!!!

We have established this fund to aid Maya and her parents in her fight against Leukemia.

We have also created a Facebook page so friends and family can be kept up to date on Maya\'s progress as well any events and or fundraisers that will be happening in honor of Maya and her journey with Leukemia.
