Baby Gracie Rae Phillips

This project is dedicated to our cousin, baby Gracie. Baby Gracie is 4 months old. She was born with a heart defect that was undetected until she was almost 48 hours old. This defect required surgery at only 7 days old. She came out of that surgery a FIGHTER!! She was a happy, giggly, smiley baby. Last Thursday, October 17, 2013, she was scheduled to have a second surgery...a heart catheter. Things didn't go as planned and only minutes into starting the surgery her heart STOPPED. They lost her for 50 minutes. This has left Gracie with major brain damage. She's been on an echmo machine plus a ventilator ever since. An echo showed normal heart beat function...so we are hoping she can at least come off the echmo machine that helping her tiny heart beat.

This is where we come in, her cousins. Several of us have children of our own and can't imagine what her mommy (our cousin), Linsey, and her daddy, Aaron, are going through. Linsey and Aaron also have a 1 year old son, Ethan. Linsey and Aaron are going to have mounds of medical bills (even after insurance pays their portion...let's face it medical expenses can break you), loss of income due to Gracie being in the hospital, cost of food from having to eat out, travel expenses to go stay with Ethan and give him a somewhat normal routine, and many other expenses.


Now here's where you come in. We just want to ask you to please help. We don't care what you can offer...every little bit helps. If you can't give financially please send prayers and positive energy. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.


We don't know what tomorrow will bring but we pray Gracie lives to see her tomorrow. That she beats the doctors prognosis. God has a plan for her and only He knows what that plan is. Miracles DO happen!! Hopefully, one day, Gracie will be running around beating up her big brother, Ethan, the way that little sisters do.
