Lauren's fight to BTHO Ewing's
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Sally Johnson, I am the roommate of Lauren Brown. I am asking for your help to raise money for Lauren's participation in a phase one clinical trial. Lauren was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma June 16, 2010. She's had 111 days of chemo, 46 radiation treatments, and 9 surgeries, including a full hip replacement. Even through all of that, her cancer keeps coming back. She is now stage IV and there is no known treatment, so she is enrolling in a clinical trial in Miami to test a brand new vaccine. This will require another surgery, many trips back and forth, and several extended stays in Miami. Please help me make this possible for her. Not only is Lauren a great roommate but she is a great Aggie; she displays the core values of Texas A&M: Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect, and Selfless Service. Through this long fight with cancer she graduated from high school with honors and came to Texas A&M where she is now a junior pursuing two degrees, a B.A. in International Studies and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics. She was in a freshman leadership organization and went on to be a counselor to incoming freshman. She has given several speeches on pediatric cancer awareness and Ewing's sarcoma. On top of that she has a part time job on campus. She plans to go on to graduate school and wants to enter a career in public service. Lauren is a fighter and she is not going to let this disease stop her. Let's help her BTHO CANCER!!
