El es Rafael Araujo Otero  docente universitario jubilado en Venezuela donde reside. Tiene 70 años  es realizador audiovisual, novelista, guionista e  investigador cinematográfico. Varias veces galardonado y seleccionado en concursos nacionales. Publicó EL CANTO DEL ALCARAVÁN  novela corta sobre las vicisitudes de una familia zuliana a finales del siglo 19 y comienzos del 20. Igualmente escribió y dirigió LOSSADA GIRASOL, largomentraje sobre la vida del prohombre regional Jesús Enrique Lossada  fundador de La Universidad del Zulia de fonde egresó y fue docente por 25 años. Recientemente Rafael Araujo fue operado del corazón gracias a las maravillosas donaciones de sus amigos y familiares, pero, como todos sabemos la situación en Venezuela, es muy difícil poder financiar el tratamiento médico que tanto necesita nuestro amigo Rafael.
