Arynn Akridge started practicing yoga at the age of 13 in the hot rooms of Bikram Yoga. She quickly found passion in the art of yoga and knew it was going to be an essential part of her life journey. She knew she wanted to one day teach yoga and be an inspiration to others in their personal practice.
In 2010, she discovered 'Sumits Yoga' in Scottsdale, AZ. "I instantly fell in love with the beautiful and dynamic sequence of Sumits Yoga. The heat, humidity, and especially the music, I loved it all. The way the practice puts you in another dimension for 80 minutes, feeling a little closer to bliss when you exit the room. It combines the discipline of Bikram Yoga and the creative freedom of Vinyasa flow all in one."
Arynn considers Sumit Banerjee, owner and creator of Sumits Yoga, a very influential mentor in her life. He first guided her in the direction of teacher training, which she completed in July of 2014. Shortly after, Sumit suggested she compete in the USA Yoga Arizona Regional Asana Championship. Taking first place in the women's division, she is now preparing for the national competition coming up on May 2nd of 2015 in Binghamton, New York.
