Ares Can't Breathe

A note from Ares:
   Hello Everyone,
     My name is Ares and I’m a Fawn Doberman here in North Florida. My parents are really worried about me because I haven’t been having the easiest time breathing lately. They took me to vet after vet and they ran test after test to find that I have what is called Chylothorax and Chyloabdominal which means I have fluid on my lungs. I guess that’s why I can’t breathe so easy anymore.
   Anyways, the vets can’t figure out why my lungs and abdomen keep filling up with this fluid. They removed almost 2 quarts of fluid but it filled right back up. They ran a lot of scans and more tests. They said something about a surgery that removes Chylo and while they’re in there, they would9 do a pericardiectomy to remove the sac around my heart. My parents are really concerned but this surgery is only chance to live a normal life. and the survival rate can be as high as 80% with it. That’s crazy!      +
 I’m back at home with Mom and Dad taking it easy until my surgery because it’s too expensive to stay in the hospital until my treatment. I’m pretty tired but hopeful. I know that my folks are tired too and they could use some help to feel better too.
   Mom and Dad have maxed out their credit cards to get this stuff done but this surgery is going to cost ALOT by itself. We had the money in the beginning buot all these tests have drained our reserves. Speaking of reserves, my Dad was in the Active Army for 23 years. And I am/was to be his companion dog for his retirement, Pretty neat, huh? But his many years in the Army left him with more human problems and disabilities for him, he was a JrHS teacher but is no longer able to teach making it more difficult to work and money even tighter. We get by fine but this caught us all by surprise. I’m asking for help for my parents to smile again. I turn 3 in September and I’d love to be able to spend it breathing in the smell of a fresh birthday cookie with my folks if possible!!!
