It is rare, the patient who can face a broken neck, bone marrow cancer, and a life threatening spinal tumor (named Earl by popular vote), with such grace and humor as indie filmmaker Anne Lower has; and yet, behind all of the laughs and smiles is a frightening reality. You, her friends and family, have done so much more than simply ease the initial financial burden of this testing and diagnosis phase -- you have demonstrated a level of caring and compassion so pure and so tangible that Anne's courage cannot help but be bolstered. And that is something that cannot be measured in dollars and cents.
As Anne moves forward into the treatment phase of her illness, we must now shift our focus from acute crises, to the steady, daily onslaught of health care costs that are not covered by her insurance. Copayments. Medical equipment rental. Prescriptions. Cab fare to the treatments she needs. These little things add up quickly; and when compounded by the loss of income, it is easy to see how Anne's medical care costs will very soon be out of her financial grasp.
Many of you have stated a wish that there was a way that you could do more. We are pleased to announce that a way has been created. If each and every person who has donated thus far would pledge to donate as little as ten dollars per month, for the next four months, we could communally see Anne through the holiday season and into the new year.

Co-Founder of Hammer Down Productions, Anne serves as CEO of Apogee Entertainment. She is the Creator of the wildly popular web series, "They Live Among Us", about Angels who live their lives among the sacred and mundane of Los Angeles. She was selected to create content for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce’s 125th Jubliee videos, which was streamed during the celebration to a standing room only audience at 'L.A. Live'.
