Anne Freilich's Fight with Cancer
Donation protected
One of our dear friends and long-time members of the Family of Women, Anne Freilich, has recently been diagnosed with cancer (neuroendocrine carcinoma high-grade small-cell). Anne's path ahead is grueling, and her spirit, as usual, is strong. Her initial aggressive plan includes four rounds of chemotherapy and 30 radiation treatments.
When we were part of the Sterling community, Anne served with honor on many many Men's and Women's Weekend production teams, including as Kitchen Manager. Anne has been a wise woman who is always available to any woman at any time. Now she needs our help. During her treatment over the next several months, Anne will be visiting Columbia Presbyterian Hospital on W. 168th Street from her home in lower Manhattan, sometimes as often as five days a week.
Anne has been a Speech Language Pathologist for 40 years. She has helped and supported children with developmental delays for decades to become successful communicators.
We, her friends, are raising funds so Anne can focus on healing, not on stressing over working or managing her out-of-pocket transportation expenses getting to and from treatment.
Please help any way you can. Anne, her family, and friends would be most grateful if you are willing to contribute as she fights this cancer with aggressive chemo and radiation treatment.
Thank you!
