To our extended family, friends and those who call Ocean Terrace Condos their home away from home.
We are overwhelmed and deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support for our island of Anguilla and particularly Ocean Terrace Condos. So many have asked how they can help and contribute to our recovery.
Thankfully, Ocean Terrace Condos is still standing, however, there are lots of repairs that need to be undertaken to restore Ocean Terrace Condos to the way we all knew and loved it. Both buildings 1 & 2 will require new paint jobs as the hurricane literally peeled the paint from the walls. For safety purposes glass doors that were shattered from debris and stones that blew from the parking lot must be replaced immediately. The large gazebo where so many of us enjoyed countless BBQ parties, Ambrose’s one of a kind rum punch and good times was destroyed and needs to be rebuilt. Air conditioning condensers was ripped away from their housing and is out to sea which means new ones need to be purchased. Furniture and kitchen cabinets was ruined as the rain forcibly entered the windows and doors. Balcony railings as well as the fencing around the perimeter of the property has been gone with the wind. Parts of the roof of each building will now require sealing due to wind-driven rain that penetrated it. After a, thorough assessment, Ocean Terrace Condos has approximately US$75,000 worth of damage, excluding labor.
