This picture was taken recently when I was on set for a student film. I come alive when I am on set and on stage! Pursuing an acting career has been a dream of mine since I was a child. I never thought it could happen until I saw myself on television in 2015. I played a church member on a crime reenactment series that aired on BET. I had so much fun!
After leaving my full-time job almost five years ago for my health, I started getting serious about pursuing my childhood dreams.
Although I have taken a few acting and performance classes over the years, my objective is to enroll in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, California this summer. I will gain a strong professional acting foundation in an academic environment that I’ve never had.
In 2018 I was accepted into the Academy's summer program and had hoped to attend, but fell short of funds to be able to enroll. Since last year I have been working at least five different jobs to try to make enough money to go this summer (2019).
Special Thanks to the contributors from this GoFundMe Page and others offline, and my many jobs, I am very, very close to meeting the financial goal to attend the American Academy for Dramatic Arts this summer.
Any amount small or large will be used to pay my tuition, room and board as well as my transportation to get there and return.
