Andalusia School Buses

Alhumdulilah Andalusia Islamic School, a project of MAS, has been continuously growing and improving over the last 22 years.  In order to serve larger population from surrounding cities, we have been renting and running successful busing service for the last 3 years.  However, since we provide discounted tuition to those who are less fortunate, we have been facing a deficit of $70,000+ each year.  In order to reduce our cost of operations, Andalusia School has decided to purchase our own buses, which will benefit us and our masjid programs in number of ways. 

This goal will only turn into reality with continued support from our caring and generous community members like you. The total cost of 3 buses is $143,000.  Alhumdulilah we have already collected $63,000 in form of Qard Hassan from few of our thoughtful community members. Our goal is to now fund-raise the remaining $80,000 to purchase the buses for the school.   The Prophet PBUH said: "Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity." Al-Tirmidhi

Since 1996, Andalusia Islamic School’s mission is to nurture confident and committed Muslim youth who will draw upon the Qur’an and Sunnah to achieve moral, spiritual, and material excellence in all fields of endeavor.  Andalusia Islamic School is committed to providing 330+ students from grades Pre-K through 12 with a solid, accredited educational foundation in Quran, Islamic Studies, Arabic, mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies.

Our organization has decided to not take a loan with riba from the bank, because it is haram and will further increase the cost by $23,000 in forms of interest. “O you who believe, fear Allah and give up what remains of your demand for riba, if you are indeed believers. If you do it not, take notice of war from Allah and His Messenger.” Qur’an 2:278-279

A good loan is a loan which is provided without charging any return or profit or interest. 

We urge you to generously support this cause which will promote the education of Allah’s deen.  May Allah accept your generous donation and make it a sadaq jaria for you and add Baraka to your rizq.  “The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases. And Allah is All-Sufficient, All-Knower.” [Al-Baqarah 2:261]

The name “Andalusia” is chosen because Muslims in Andalusia (now Spain and Portugal) were able to produce a great civilization that the whole world experienced and benefited from. We envision nurturing Muslim youth that will contribute to humanity’s civilization in the twenty-first century as the youth of Andalusia did.
