According to research, 67% of students between 12-18 who participate in educational travel abroad earn a college degree, compared to only 34% of those who don’t travel. Not only does educational travel directly correlate with a students’ academic success after high school, but students who travel also have better grades in high school.
Traveling to other countries can give me an appreciation for different cultures, new perspective on history, immersion in foreign languages, and inspiration from new and exciting experiences abroad. I will visit England, and see where my family is originally from.
Travel abroad also helps develop critical thinking skills, and increases students’ openness to experience, which correlates to better career choices, higher work performance and higher pay.
Our 15-day trip starts on June 11 in London, then Paris, then Italy, then back home on June 26th.
