My name is Aisha Khsrawy and I am a 15 year old girl who lives in Kabul, Afghanistan. Over the past year I have developed cataratas in my left eye, which has completely blocked my vision through that eye. This has limited my ability to read, learn and attend school. Because there are no specialists doctors in Afghanistan that are able to safely perform the surgery, the surgery must be done in India. My family is unable to afford the costs of the travel and surgery.
From Aisha's sister:
Due to the state of affairs in her own city in Afghanistan, Aisha cannot get the medical care she needs there. She will need to travel to New Dehli, India for the surgery. This will be a costly trip for a family that is already in dire straits. The cost of travel for Aisha and her brother Mohammad, food, lodging, and of course the surgery and required post-surgery medication
