Ali Mink Memorial Fund

Alexandra “Ali”, was born and raised in Scituate, Rhode Island.   She was an extremely intelligent, kind and warm-hearted person who thrived on the challenge of school work, was a wonderful musician, and was very active in Cross Country, La Cross, and various clubs at school.    


Ali’s easy-going personality and gentle disposition was admired by all who had the privilege of knowing her.   She always reached out to help those in need.   Ali’s dream was to attend Boston University and earn a master’s degree in Pediatric Occupational Therapy.   


In Ali’s sophomore year of high school at the age of 15, she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.   Throughout her twenty month battle with cancer, which included multiple brain surgeries, radiation treatments and chemotherapy, she continued to go to school and stayed active in her community.  She remained a high honor student finishing both her sophomore and junior years in the top 2% of her class.   In November of 2012, Ali lost her battle with cancer.


Family and friends have organized this event to carry out Alexandra’s legacy of helping others.  The funds from this event will go to a scholarship as well as to helping children who are fighting the battle of a cancer diagnosis.
