Support for Alan McGovern
Donation protected
Alan was diagnosed with Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome at birth. Wiskott is an inherited rare disease which affects the immune system and blood platlet count. Alan has had numerous complications since childhood, but over the last few years these complications have become much more serious. The only cure for this disease is a Bone Marrow Transplant. Alan and his doctors have determined this is a necessary procedure at this point in his life before his condition becomes more serious. The transplant will take place April 15th in Cincinnati OH after Alan completes Chemotherapy. His recovery will be lengthy (roughly 12-24 months). Alan, Allison, and their 18 month old son LJ will need assistance with expenses due to the extended length of time Alan will be out of work.
