It is with a shattered heart that my love, partner, and dearest Tata to our beautiful Ida, Alan Frkovic, passed yesterday September 10, 2017 in his sleep from a heart attack.
Born in Croatia on June, 3, 1980 he was a hydrid of two cultures having moved here at 9. Alan connected and wanted to talk to everyone. Always wanted to have a good laugh or discussion, generous, and kind to everyone who he met. He thrived working and picking up extra work at every turn. He was the proudest Tata for our Ida especially after her first week of Pre-K at her new school and having just started tennis lessons. Our summer schedule was full so we were looking forward to our future date nights, usually on Saturday and going to Jim Gaffigan in October. He wanted to go camping in the fall too with Ida and I in Michigan up by Traverse City, where roughly 5 years ago we found out on Sleeping Bear Dunes that the little baby growing in my tummy was a girl that we would name Ida Anka Frkovic after our favorite grandmas.
This is a cruel reality that we are not prepared for. My greatest concern right now is our daughter Ida. This page has been created with the costs for arrangements, grieving counseling (out of pocket), and care that are foreseen. It's impossible to know what will be needed but I am hoping to ease the biggest blow of our lives.
