For the Parents of Aiden Arita

Dear Friends,
We are raising money to help Leanna and Ricky Arita, parents of little Aiden Ezekiel Arita, who was born recently on February 20, 2018. Dear little Aiden was born with severe birth defects involving his brain and heart. The doctors had held out hope that these could be worked with but, unfortunately, it’s not going to work out that way. The doctors have not given a positive prognosis for his long term survival. In keeping with this, the wonderful doctors and staff at Loma Linda Hospital have given all of us, the family, an opportunity to see and spend a little quality time with our precious little one.
Needless to say, this is a heart-wrenching situation. Ricky and Leanna have not been able to work. They have been staying at the Ronald McDonald house nearby so that they can be at the baby’s bedside 24/7. We’ve started this fund to help them with their many expenses including their medical bills, personal expenses, and impending final expenses.
Your love, support, and prayers are greatly appreciated. You don’t know how much! The outpouring of love has truly been overwhelming.
At this difficult time, we wish there was something we could do to change the situation. Contributing is, at least, a small thing we could do that would help them if you would like to.

**Update**
On Friday afternoon, 3/16/18, Ricky and Leanna, along with about 30 family members, met with 5 doctors, a nurse, and a social worker at Loma Linda Hospital. After the doctor’s detailed, heartfelt, yet grim diagnosis, Ricky and Leanna both gave a beautiful witness about their faith and hope for the future. The nurse commented that she had never seen parents who advocated so strongly for their child.
When the meeting was over, the lead doctor asked Bro. Randy Johnson to pray. This brother gave the most beautiful, heartfelt prayer. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Even the doctors were crying. What a beautiful witness!
At first, the doctors weren’t going to let us, the extended family, see the baby, but then 10 minutes later the social worker came back in the room and said they were going to bring the baby in. It was an extraordinarily moving time.
We, the family, want to express how proud we are of how beautifully and faithfully Ricky and Leanna have handled themselves and conducted this situation. We are also deeply grateful to Bro. Johnson for being there as well. Our Heavenly Father certainly is a God of comfort in this time of trial.
***Update*** 3/19/18
Our precious Aiden passed away around 10:20 pm Sunday evening, the 18th of March. He was 3 1/2 weeks old. His parents were so brave as to let him go and entrust their son utterly into God’s hands.
