Aid for Ashley (Adamczyk)Betson

This is a brief history of our friend, Ashley Betson; a loving mother, wife, daughter, and amazing friend.
Ashley was in an accident on 2-3-14. She blacked out and thankfully no one else was involved and she wasn't hurt badly. Due to her blacking out, when her husband Tommy took her to the ER to get checked out, they ended up doing a CT of her head, finding a cyst a little over the size of a quarter in the pineal region of her brain (which is smack dab in the center).
After they found that, she was instructed not to drive for 6 months or at least until they figure things out. For her family, this means that her mom is driving her to and from work every day and Ashley is staying all week in the city with her mom and not seeing her husband and two beautiful girls most weeks until Friday afternoon.
After an MRI on 2-12-14, they thought the mass to be a very large benign cyst having a mass effect (pushing on other things, which could be causing her bad headaches, vision and hearing problems). Went to a neurosurgeon who was worried about the location and effects this thing is having in her brain since a CT she had in 2010 showed nothing of this mass so it has grown at an aggressive rate.
Now, both U of M and Dr. Shahinian have ruled this out as being a epidermoid cyst. Dr. Shahinian is confident that it's a benign tumor, but there is always the possibility it could be one of 5/6 forms of tumors. He said at this given moment she's not in any grave danger, but she's heading in that direction.
Ashley has decided to seek Dr. Shahinian's help in California. Unfortunately this will inevitably cost a lot of money this two income family just doesn't have. We are reaching out to our community to support Ashley and her family as they continue this journey to a hopefully healthy future. Every prayer is appreciated and very much needed and your donations will go a long way to hopefully relieve some of this financial burden so Ashley can focus on getting better and loving her family!
