Subject: Secret Fundraiser for Mr. T
Sergio Tarin “Mr. T” was involved in a single car accident this past Friday, October 2nd when his steering wheel malfunctioned and locked up, sending his Mazda over the curb and into Scharbauer Draw and up the other side. The wreck happened near the old Crestview Church location.
Mr. Tarin suffered some scrapes and bumps, and was back teaching the next week, but his car was totaled. He only had liability insurance, so the car was a total loss. The value of the car is less than the repair bill, so he signed it over to the wrecking company, but still had to pay a large fee to haul it off.
On a teacher’s salary, this is a devastating blow. Mr. T used the Mazda to get to gigs, and due to Covid, those gigs have all but stopped this year. He relies on that gig money to make ends meet. Fortunately, he has another vehicle to drive to school, but the MCS Band Boosters officers and Mr. Broome are
moved to help Mr. T try to get back on his feet.
This is where you come in. We are starting up the “Agape Fund For Mr. T” – a fundraiser for Mr. T to cover these unexpected costs. We are using GoFundMe, Venmo, Paypal, checks and cash to make it happen.
We will surprise Mr. T during the Fall Jr. High and High School Band Concert on October 19 th by presenting him with all the money raised.
Please do what you can to help Mr. T!
P.S. – Online or otherwise, keep it a secret from Mr. T – we don’t want to ruin the surprise!
