ACCL Summer School Program
Donation protected
The African Community Center of Lowell (ACCL) is a nonprofit organization that helps refugees and immigrants of all ages and ethnicities get a head start with their English language skills before the start of the school year. I had the pleasure of teaching the primary class this past summer--children ages 6-7. These kids have impressed me so much in all that they have been able to absorb within the short two months of summer vacation, and I am so excited to watch them continue to grow throughout the school year. I also know however, that being thrown into a classroom with twenty other students can be very frightening, overwhelming and at times frusterating when you lack the same basic communication skills. Not to mention entering the workforce as an adult without any prior knowledge of the English language. So please join me, by donating to the ACCL in hopes to make these families' trasition to America a little bit more welcoming. 100% of all donations go towards the summer school program, as well as fund a scholarship for highschool graduates who, despite their initial language barrier, demonstrate exemplary academic skills. Thank you for your generosity.
