Adrian's Strength to Endure...

Please help our nephew & his immediate family... Adrian has begun his war with cancer & will have to endure over 10 months of Chemotherapy due to the locations of his tumors...
October 2013 was the beginning of it all... Adrian started walking different: It looked almost like he was dragging his leg: A trip to Urgent Care then days later another to the ER for X-Rays all with the same conclusion everything is fine, he's growing & to give him Tylenol for the growing pains:
Fast forward to Sunday, October 27th Adrian started looking pale: Once his Pediatrician saw him he was sent directly to the hospital for emergency blood work: Results showed his blood count was so low that arrangements were made to immediately have him transported to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital:
After a battery of tests on Friday, November 1st we were given the painful news that they found cancer cells Adrian's bone marrow: Then came the diagnosis of Rhabdomyosarcoma a relatively rare form of cancer: Tumors were found in Adrian's neck, shoulder, knees & stomach: Because of the location of Adrian's tumors this cancer is inoperable & ineligible for radiation as well:
Currently Adrian has started what will be over 40 weeks of chemotherapy at Loma Linda... With that being said so much will have to change at home for this family... Due to Adrian's immune system being compromised by the chemo he can no longer go to day care... In addition he will also suffer the side effects of the chemo which will require continual monitoring by his mother Heather, who will no longer be able to work... Losing her income will put additional strain on the family at a time of ultimate stress already... While there have been generous donations by family, friends & employers, we are appealing to others for help to subsidize the daily needs of the family so they don't have to worry about how they will care for Adrian...
We were thrilled after 3 weeks at Loma Linda Adrian was released late Monday night, November 18th... He will return to Loma Linda on Thursday for his chemotherapy & we'll continue to provide updates at: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/adrianmontesdeoca:
