Penny Taylor is a strong, single woman that has always put others before herself. This last summer her doctors found a cancerous mass in her uterus which shook us all. She continued to be strong and kept moving forward and refused to let this bring her down. We put together this GoFundMe page to help her get back on her feet so she can continue to heal and get back to work.
The Backstory
Penny’s whole world is her children and grandbabies. All she wanted was to make a great life for her and her kids. After a long stint in New Zealand, she found herself a single mom raising 4 kids on her own, putting herself through school pursuing a career in helping others going through chemotherapy.
All she wanted was to give Jason, Josh, Sam and Holly a wonderful life, so she worked multiple jobs while also going through school to get there. Finally getting a great job opportunity, the family relocated to Washington. Then the unthinkable happens, the loss of two sons within a year and a half of each other.
Soon after, Penny was in dire need of double knee replacement surgery. Her job that she worked so hard for pushed her out while she was on leave so she had no job to return to. She just couldn’t help but feel the world was stacking up against her.
After about 3 years later, she finally had an opportunity to get back into her field over in Maui with a wonderful job that was excited to work with her. Almost a year later, she found out she had cancer. Right when she felt she was getting her life back on track, she had this mountain to climb.
How you can Help
Penny needed to take six weeks off of work for recovery, a lot of time to be on your own without pay. With very little covered by her insurance, her financial needs keep stacking up. Anything donated will help her cover costs of living so she can continue to heal and get back to work.
