Hello, my name is Lakeisha "Leigh" and on May 26th I lost my Uncle Bonny, my Donald Duck, Gentle Giant, a Father Figure to my siblings and I, a loving Husband, Brother, Son, Uncle, Great-Uncle, and a Friend just to say the least.
I thought he would be around forever, quiet, gentle, sweet, laid back, but particular in so many ways. God whispered to me in my sleep saying, "it's my time to spend with him now." So, when I woke up I just knew today was the day.
Late morning came, and my phone rang, on the other end a sad and soft voice telling me " Uncle Bonny is gone!" A sigh of relief as I knew he no longer was in pain, scared, confused or no longer left with a struggle. A sigh of relief for my Aunt Amy who loved him unconditionally and who every day for three weeks stayed by his side until he took his last breath. A sigh of relief for every brother and sister that surrounded and loved him with no hesitation and stood by him thru every up and down. And a final sigh of relief for every niece and nephew that that loved him unconditionally and wanted to be by his side.
How:
Bonny struggled with Sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease that affects multiple organs in the body, but mostly the lungs and lymph glands. On May 5th, 2017 Bonny was admitted to the hospital for an infection, and under the impression that this was just another battle to fight and to be won as always. Little did we know God had another plan in store. Over the next three weeks, Bonny's health deteriorated rapidly, and despite his fight and will to live, he lost his battle.
Purpose:
This tragedy came at a cost beyond his life, but non-the-less at a cost. We are asking for your help, and every dollar counts. There has been a host of medical bills left along with funeral expenses. It would be appreciated for any financial assistance to use towards:
· Medical Bills
· Cemetery Arrangements
· Minister
· Coffin
· Transpiration Services
