A family's last trip to California

Donation protected
This is my Aunt Natalie and her three incredible boys: Isaiah, Noah and Micah. They live in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

In July 2011, Nat was diagnosed with a rare cancer called neuroendocrine cancer, which has had her fighting for her life for nearly three years. During that period, she battled through flesh-eating disease, several bowel obstructions, chemotherapy, and five surgeries in just 21 months, three of which were life threatening. Natalie has not been able to work since August 2011 and, in December 2013, she was informed that Health Canada was withdrawing her cancer treatment called Lutetium, which, until then, she had been responding amazingly well to. Natalie's last treatment of Lutetium was in June 2013. As she has been without treatment for slightly over a year, her condition and symptoms have severely worsened. On top of everything else, last November, her son Noah came down with a mysterious illness that left the doctors at his hospital stumped and kept him out of school—with still no diagnosis in sight.

My family and I live in Los Angeles, California.

Here's where you come in! Nat's three boys have been begging her to bring them to California, and they want to make sure they get to do it with her before she's gone. The trip shouldn't cost much more than $6000—including flights, food, fun places, etc. So that's my goal: $6000 for my Aunt—the person I admire most in the world—and her three kids to be able to come to the West Coast to visit with family, and to create some life-long memories. I want the boys to have the opportunity to forget about the word "cancer" for just a little while, and to be carefree in a way that they haven't been able to be for a number of years.

Any money donated that exceeds our goal will go towards supporting the boys once Natalie is no longer around.

Even if you can't donate anything, thank you for taking the time to read this, and I'd be so greatful if you'd pass it along!
