Support AED installation in Kenilworth Common area

Donation protected
Residents along Common Lane, Fennyland Lane and areas adjoining the north side of the Kenilworth Common are raising funds for the installation of an Automated Emergency Defibrillator [AED].

Emergency response times in the CV8 2 area are currently running between 8-10 minutes according to published information on the NHS trust website. Survival rates have been at 8% for cardiac incidents. It is hoped that an AED will help improve response times and the odds for survival of a cardiac event.

This AED will be accessible via the 999 emergency services, and is in support of the Kenilworth HeartSafe campaign for AEDs being installed around Kenilworth. The AED will be positioned for easy access near the Common, Common Lane and Fennyland Lane. You will likely be within 400 yds of this AED if you live in the area.

Using an AED does not require formal training and the machine gives you spoken instructions to use it effectively and safely.

This is a residents campaign. Volunteers are welcome and 100% of all collections will be used for the purchase, installation and maintenance of the AED.

Quotes have been received from Kenilworth Heartsafe and are available to view on request.

Please give what you can. Working together, we are aiming to have this AED installed and available for public use by Christmas 2019.

If you need more information, please contact us. Thank you.
