AC Unit Replacement

Thank you for reading my story and I appreciate your help tremendously! I've always believed in working hard to get what you needed as well as helping others along the way, and I've lived up to my belief. Even though at the moment while I am experiencing financial challenges, I am actively helping a couple of friends that are in situations that I can help physically. Now I am putting it out to the universe that I need help.
The week of April 14, 2014 my AC unit at my home gave out. She was a trooper though, lasting 1.5 years beyond her life span. Due to my illness, I often work at home and now as the days are getting warmer and the humidity level is rising here in Florida, it will become increasingly challenging for me to manage without AC. My energy and wellness level on many days is zapped, and I've come to the point where I now find it necessary to ask for financial help. I've received a quote for the AC replacement from Lowes for $6,700, and I know that this is the ballpark of what I will be paying to replace the system plus or minus $1,000. I am now working on other quotes in a bid to get a lower cost of replacement, but so far the lowest price I've come across is at around $5,500, but without some of the benefits of warrantees like Lowes has to offer. Unfortunately, I have not been successful to secure a personal loan or additional lines of credit to cover the cost to replace the AC.
So, I am asking for your help. I kindly ask that you donate whatever you can, as every penny adds up. Again, I appreciate your taking the time to read my story and your generosity. I look forward to the day when my health and financial well-being is restored so that I can pay it forward.
